What are the opening hours of Fort la Latte?  ?

Fort la Latte visit times generally depend on the month of the year. Indeed, this castle is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the February holidays. It is open from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the months of April, May, June and September. During the months of July and August, this fort is open from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Thereafter, this fort is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in October. Finally, it is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the November and December holidays. This last schedule is the same for weekends.

Cap de Fréhel is a point of pink sandstone with a tormented relief. It is located to the east. In addition, it separates the bay of Saint-Brieuc from the bay of Saint-Malo at the level of the English Channel. It is also located in the town of Plévenon in the Côtes-d’Armor department.

This cape is considered an impressive site in Brittany. At the beginning or end of the day, it is in pink sandstone with magnificent colors. Visitors usually have the choice of going to the top of the cape if they are hiking the GR 34.

The Cap Fréhel lighthouse is one of the most influential lighthouses on the Emerald Coast. It is visible about 50 km away. It is 70 m above sea level with its lantern that carries more than 53 km. 

This lighthouse illuminates and secures the passage from Brieuc Bay to the harbor of Saint-Malo thanks to its strong light.

What are the prices for visiting Cap Fréhel  ?

Do you want to discover Cap Fréhel during your hike on the customs trail  ? You should know that parking is paid on this site. It is 3 euros per hour.

In addition, the ticket office is 3 euros for adults who wish to visit Cap Fréhel during a hike on the GR 34. Adult groups of at least 10 people pay 1.50 euro per person. Children aged 7 to 14 also pay 1.50 euro. However, the price is free for children under 7 years old.

What are the opening hours of the Cap Fréhel lighthouse?  ?

The Cap de Fréhel lighthouse is open from April to early November. It is also open daily during high season. It is the same for public holidays from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Cap Fréhel is open during the months of April and May between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. for hikers on the coastal path. In June, this cape is open every day from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Finally, it is open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in September.

Practical information to know between Fort la Latte and Cap Fréhel for a successful hike on the coastal path

Fort la Latte and Cap Fréhel are approximately 5 km apart. A successful hike over this distance takes about 1h30. This duration includes the time spent taking photos. 

You have places that allow you to take photos of beautiful views. For example, you can take photos from the cliffs on the coast. The views are magnificent over the seaside and the tip of Cap Fréhel.

In addition, it is generally advisable to start your walk from Cap Fréhel to Fort la Latte. Thus, you will return to the cape at sunset. The back moments are great at sunset with the cliff and dew rocks.

On the other hand, it is important to know that the path is not often accessible to people with reduced mobility. This is a real dirt trail. As a result, people with reduced mobility may have a little trouble with strollers. However, it is not as difficult to drop.
